I got a present yesterday. My favourite type of present.
It was an offshoot of a neighbour’s beautiful Buddleia… all leafy and frondy, with sturdy-looking roots.
This thoughtful gift has come at exactly the right time as I’m planting a buddleia hedge at the moment.
Hopefully, by this time next year, there will be armfuls of flowers. Reds, deep purples and green-whites. With the added bonus of course of clouds of butterflies.
Buddleia is like the Pied Piper for butterflies….
…and I would like to see hundreds flip flopping about my new hedge, next summer.
Oh yes indeedy!
