Spanish Roof Slate Floor

Who would have guessed?

Things that are designed for a roof can also be wonderful on the floor!

After feeling a bit down about the state of our conservatory floor, we decided to give it a quick facelift that wouldn’t blow the budget.

A speedy trip to the nearest roofers to buy some non-holed spanish roof slates, one pot of tile cement, some sealant and a little pot of grey grout later and…

the most beautiful floor appeared!

Plus…

…when the sun shines on the slates, they get all lovely and warm. Perfect for tiptoeing about on Autumn afternoons with those crumpets I mentioned earlier!

    1. Ha ha – thanks!! It does look good and it is a massive improvement. I will try and add a bigger photo at the weekend. Especially after I’ve done my last coat of F&Bs Skimming Stone on the surrounding woodwork! Bliss!! X
