Potting Up a Present – Part Two

I wanted to make a friend of mine a homemade gift.

(I know, any excuse for crafting…!)

I bought some organic seeds to make up a Three Sisters Collection…

…for an interesting plant history lesson about The Three Sisters, click here.

I added some plant care notes and put it all in a little flower pot, ready to wrap in cellophane.

But then… I read this post from The Cosy Creative.

It inspired me to add a little square of blackboard paint, so that I could write a personalised message.

It totally transforms the present – don’t you think?!

      1. And I got it from Kate from Kate’sCreativeSpace blog! I think chalkboard paint is all the rage these days so ideas get passed on quickly 🙂 The present looks great, I’m sure your friend will be delighted.

  1. That’s such a personal and thoughtful gift. I’ve given potted plants I’ve grown myself, but never thought to do up a pot with the seeds and with the blackboard paint. A fabulous idea. 🙂
