Firstly, welcome to my blog and hurrah that you found me! Please stay a while and have a look around, feel free to comment or write me a note at dorsetfinca@gmail.com.
Secondly, I find it really hard to write about myself specifically. I have tried at least 3 times to write an ‘about’ page but always unsuccessfully. I think instead I will write a list of things that may be useful to a new reader, or may not be!!! I should stop procrastinating and get on with it…
- Finca (noun) = spanish smallholding or ranch
- I live in Dorset in England, deep in the countryside with no street lamps!
- I have two chickens called Keith and Steve (who are girls)
- I am in the process of renovating a 19th Century estate worker’s cottage
- I love the garden but am still learning how to make good use of it
- We have adopted a rescue cat called Ollie (Oliver) who needs TLC
- I have an almost worrying love of stationery
- I like order and things that look good
- My favourite blogs to read are lifestyle, fashion and interior design ones but nothing too serious
- I am a trained florist but that’s not my day job

Hi, I just found your blog by The Cosy Creative, I really like your blog. Good job !
Cendriani
Thank you so much. I love the Cosy Creative blog – one of my favourite reads! x
You have some beautiful photos. I love Dorset. My parents-in-law live in Swanage and I love the cliff walks and going to Corfe.
Thank you for stopping by and for your lovely comment. I think Dorset is one of the nicest places in the world (but I am very biased)!! The purbecks are beautiful – do you get lots of opportunities to visit your parents in law? I’m just off to have a looksie round your blog! x
We travel there about once a year. We’re both from the UK but live in the US. Hope to move back when we retire. And the Purbeck ice cream is to die for!
Wow a nice blog that is filled with beautiful flowers, seeing this I remember my garden.Especially I like your about me page very much, see you soon with new stuffs…
Thank you for your lovely comments. Unfortunately the freezing cold is keeping me out of the garden at the moment! Hopefully the sun and inspiration will arrive soon!
