The Sweet Williams have just burst out everywhere!
They are causing a bit of a stir with their deep reds, fuscias and pale pinks!!
I had to have some indoors.
So I whipped a few up into a spiral hand-tied and finished the edges with some fern…
…and now they’re sitting happily on my kitchen table.
Bingo!

I love Sweet Williams but have never thought of planting them here in Spain. I wonder if they could cope with the heat? Oooh, the scent of them!
They seem very hardy, with carnation-like stems and tough leaves. Give it a go! x
Loooove Sweet Williams. You don’t see them much these days. Beautiful photos. I have grown these in the garden. They did need a lot of watering and a bit of shade. The only thing was the flowers didn’t last as long as they do in the UK. They should be fine at T’s house.
Regards Florence xx
Hi! You’re right, they were a bit fussy to start with. We have given them up for dead and suddenly two massive banks of them appeared either side of the garden. I’ve definitely put them on my favourites list now! x
