The rain has been coming down in sheets on and off all day long.
The garden has been well-watered, the painting has had to wait and the chickens are sitting under their canopy wondering why there are water droplets dripping off their beaks!
I settled down in front of a good film and did a bit of therapeutic knitting!
All that knitting and pearling was wonderful relaxation…

So sweet!
(I promise I’m not getting commission for mentioning the books… I just love them).
My favourite to knit with is Organic Soya Cotton (so soft and gorgeous)…
…no itchy jumpers here!

I really enjoy knitting and especially love making baby things – will check these book sout on Amazon, it´s always good to have a recommendation!
They are such good books and perfect for a range of knitting abilities. There’s a really sweet blanket pattern that I’m desperate to try out! x
Forgot to say – your work looks lovely and the wool is gorgeous!
Soya Cotton is the nicest thing I have ever used. It seems to wash well and has a lovely soft feel (I have a bit of a fear of itchy wools)!! x
Looks like you are a seasoned professional at knitting. Do you crochet too? I tried to learn how to crochet today (I hope that’s not a dirty word amongst knitters!) and found it pretty confusing. Needless to say my work looks like a mass of random stitches of different sizes :/ think I need to join a class!
Oh my goodness… no! Honestly, in the huge world of knitting I am only a complete beginner – and I’m really slow and have to look at my hands and everything! I did try to crochet but it ended up in a bit of a disaster. The tiny piece I was trying to complete took me ages and I got a bit fed up.
Maybe I need to research it a bit more.
